Practice Areas
While our areas of expertise include sexual abuse, severe injury and wrongful death, and jury and trial consulting, we welcome all victims of wrongdoing to reach out to us. We are glad to assist you in any way we can.
Sexual Assault & Abuse
Sexual assault and abuse involves an act in which one intentionally sexually touches another person without that person’s consent or coerces or physically forces a person to engage in a sexual act against their will. It is a form of sexual violence, which includes child sexual abuse, groping, rape (forced vaginal, anal, or oral penetration or a drug-facilitated sexual assault), or the torture of the person in a sexual manner.
We have vast experience in representing victims of sexual abuse including those involving college campuses, workplace misconduct and harassment, children, sports leagues and coaches, clergy, and Title IX.
Severe Injury & Wrongful Death
Serious bodily injury refers to a type of physical injury that is particularly serious, and typically arises in the context of insurance or criminal cases, but can also occur in other situations, including medical malpractice.
Wrongful death is a death caused by the negligent, willful, or wrongful act, neglect, omission, or default of another.
We have represented numerous victims and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death suits, including a wrongful death involving electrocution and a separate case in which a woman died while undergoing a plastic surgery procedure. Michelle Simpson Tuegel has taken on major corporations and even filed the first lawsuit against MGM following the Las Vegas Shooting.
Jury & Trial Consultant
Trial consulting is the use of both legal and factual information to aid attorneys in their communication and presentation of a criminal trial or civil lawsuit. Modern trial consultants help prepare witnesses, improve arguments and rhetoric, and select juries.
No one can predict the actions of a jury with 100 percent certainty, but there are certain insights that we have acquired from observing the decision-making of juries in hundreds of cases. When it comes to juries and trial preparation, experience truly is the best teacher, and our insights have led to multi-million dollar results.
